This carseat was at first the bane of my existence. Our baby was pretty big, so it was hard to get him in without having to squeeze him in. Not fun.
Over time we have learned to use this car seat, but learned that there are features on this which leaves me wanting more. The car seat only rear faces up to 35 lbs. Rear facing is the safest way for children to sit. The max on this is 50lbs, forward facing.
The users guide is kind of annoying to follow, I wish there were REAL photos on the guide… seriously folks, that can’t be too difficult, right?
We got it for $80 plus tax, which was a bargain, but we should have gotten the Britax Marathon…. oh well…

After reading some of the other reviews, it seems clear that most parents have not dealt with this seat long enough to develop complete disdain for it. I initially loved this seat because my son was tall and he quickly outgrew his infant Snug Ride. I was so eager to get him into a seat that fit him that I picked up the first one at Target that hadn’t had any recall issues. My girlfriend also had one so I figured safety in numbers. I was so wrong. I took a carseat safety course and they told us if we ever find ourselves saying we hate the carseat to get rid of it because it is unsafe.well I hate it and it is so unsafe! The straps are always getting twisted and are always uneven so one side will be tight while the other is loose. secondly, the side compartments for drinks and snacks are impossible to remove and one broke off on its own. The chest piece never clicks completely and has come undone several times on its own. The bottom point will click and the top point will pull apart. I can always move it more than an inch even when it is latched and buckled in. It is hard to thread the seatbelt through the hole for it and it never seems to fit my son right even after redoing the straps.I will never buy another evenflo and I can not wait to replace this seat with something that will do what it is intended to do. DO NOT BUY THIS SEAT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Very nice car seat. Easy to install & fits great in a Town & Country. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because the straps sometimes twist.

This carseat is great! It has the extra padding the keep your child comfortable on long trips plus a cup holder for sippy cups and pacifiers. We love it!

We’re very pleased with this seat. Our daughter likes it a lot better than the infant seat that she just grew out of. She doesn’t scream the whole time we’re in the car anymore. When she falls asleep it looks pretty comfortable – sometimes her head falls forward, but we can usually reposition things to make her more comfy. It’s easy to install with the latch system – you have to pull pretty hard, but that’s how every car seat is if you want it to be safe you have to put some effort into making it secure. We like it.
